What to Expect from my Behind the Scenes Author Blog
Hello, Writers!
I can’t believe I’ve decided to do this. Nevertheless, I’m excited to announce; I’m adding a second blog on top of all the other things I’m committed to doing as an authorpreneur. For quite some time, I’ve been wrestling with the idea of creating an author website for my fiction books. This would mean having three websites, including a website that I’m no longer using. As I pondered this idea, I couldn’t help thinking, there must be a better way.
After much deliberation, I’ve decieded that there’s no way around having separate websites for my two distinct brands. Why? It all comes down to my intention for this behind the scenes blog.
So, what is Behind the Scenes?
How is it relevant to my book coaching and Authorpreneur Blog?
And, what can you expect from this blog?

What is behind the scenes?
Behind the scenes is an opportunity for you to see behind the curtain of life as an author. It’s a way for me as an author to connect with the fans of my fiction in a more personal way. It’s a vehicle for building relationships. Creating connections and building relationships is one of the most important things you can do as an entrepreneur.
This blog is a way to prove to you, I’m practising what I preach, and I’m not one of those book coaches who coach and never write or market their books. As of late, I’m noticing a shocking trend in the coaching community. There is an increasing number of book and author coaches who claim to teach aspiring authors to write a best-selling novel without the relevant experience. I’m talking about one book, with only a few reviews and a high Amazon ranking (697,000). When It comes to selling books on Amazon, you should strive for a low ranking (10,100) like the bestseller charts. The real truth about making a living with writing is one book is no longer enough to make a living. It’s not even enough to write a great book.
What can you expect from this blog?
The Behind the Scenes blog will be updated every second Monday at 6:00 PM GMT (London Time) in the form of blog posts. Over time, I will change the format of these updates to audio and video formats where appropriate.
I will share with you updates on the progress of my books and book release dates through my behind-the scenes writing vlogs. And, I will be honest about my self-publishing highs and lows. My inention is tyo share an honest account of what happens after you hit the publish button on the various online retailers.
Now, I want to hear from you. What do you want to see on the behind the scenes blog? What part an author’s life do you want to know about? Let me know by sharing in the comments section below.
Happy reading book lovers,
Amelia xx
I’m Amelia. When I’m not hosting the Authorpreneur Podcast™️ and the Book Nerd Podcasts, I write Mystery Novels under the pen name A. D. Hay. And, I’m the author of Suspicion, the Lawn, and the Candidate.
On this blog, I help new writers to finish their first draft, prepare their manuscripts for professional editing, and when they get stuck in the first draft phase or are confused about the revision process.
Right now, I’m editing and preparing my soon to be published mystery novels, Suspicion, Duplicity, 24 Hours, and Immunity for publication.
